About the position

The Supervisory Program Analyst position at the Department of the Air Force is a permanent, full-time role that serves as the first-level supervisor and Branch Chief for the Mobility Air Forces (MAF) Command & Control (C2) Requirements Branch. The primary responsibility is to provide technical and administrative supervision over employees while managing the planning, development, implementation, and modernization of MAF C2 systems and programs. The role requires expertise in military aviation and involves representing HQ AMC to various Air Force commands, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and preparing detailed plans and presentations related to program management.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first-level supervisor and Branch Chief, providing technical and administrative supervision over employees.
  • Plan, organize, oversee, and direct the activities of the MAF C2 Requirements Branch.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and established defense department guidance.
  • Represent HQ AMC to HQ USAF, USTRANSCOM, and other AF MAJCOMs.
  • Analyze, develop, and evaluate detailed plans, goals, and objectives for modernization and requirements management of assigned major command programs.
  • Prepare and deliver oral presentations, briefings, and training sessions to secure cooperation and resolve controversial matters.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (SCI) security clearance.
  • At least one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 level or equivalent, including knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods for assessing command-level plans and programs.
  • Knowledge of Air Force and command program goals, operational events, and methods for evaluating planning effectiveness.
  • Experience in military aviation (e.g., pilot, navigator) is critical for successful performance.
