About the position

This position serves as an advisory staff to the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) within the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), focusing on complex programs related to manpower, funds, equipment, facilities, and security. The role involves managing process improvements, advising employees on policies, and ensuring effective utilization of personnel resources.

Responsibilities

  • Manages process improvements and maintains liaison with senior management partners.
  • Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management.
  • Reviews position descriptions biannually to ensure accuracy and effective utilization of personnel resources.
  • Establishes policies and procedures for planning and integration work.
  • Reviews organization mission, functions, and manning.
  • Identifies requirements and initiates requests for additional resources including personnel, overtime, equipment, supplies, and space.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.
  • Experience advising and counseling employees on policies and procedures.
  • Experience in long-range planning, personnel, and organizational issues.
  • Experience establishing and monitoring internal control procedures and expenditures of financial resources.
  • Experience providing technical direction to subordinate employees.
