About the position

The Supervisory Program Manager position at the U.S. Mint involves overseeing and managing various enterprise-wide functional areas, including strategic planning, policy analysis, business intelligence, records management, and workplace modernization. The role requires collaboration with senior management and external stakeholders to develop national policies and ensure effective implementation of performance mandates governing Executive Branch agencies. This position is critical for guiding the Mint's strategic initiatives and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Define, direct, manage, and evaluate enterprise-wide functional areas including Strategic Planning, Policy Analysis and Management, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, Records and Information Management, and Workplace Modernization.
  • Develop national policy, procedures, and processes for the Mint through the Office of Policy and Analytics, integrating these policies with inter-bureau plans.
  • Coordinate and consult with senior management staff of other agencies and external stakeholders regarding major initiatives, actions accomplished, milestones to be achieved, and significant problems or issues related to the above.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in conducting special short- and long-range management studies of major concern to the Chief Administrative Officer.
  • Provide overall direction, leadership, and guidance for the bureau's information management functions, including coordinating bureau engagement, managing controlled correspondence, implementing a policy management process and system, and managing the bureau's records management program.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
  • One year of specialized experience at the GS-14 level in the Federal service, applying program management principles to direct day-to-day operations of an organization.
  • Experience consulting with and making recommendations to executive level staff; planning, organizing, and directing operations; researching and interpreting governmental regulations; analyzing and interpreting policies and procedures; and leading work in data analytics.
