About the position

The Supervisory Public Health Analyst - Deputy Office Director position is a critical role within the Bureau of Primary Health Care, specifically in the Office of Quality Improvement. This position involves overseeing public health programs and policies to ensure alignment with the Health Resources and Services Administration's (HRSA) mission and objectives. The Deputy Office Director collaborates closely with the Office Director to guide strategic planning and management systems, providing expert advice on public health initiatives and representing the office in key areas to enhance agency performance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze public health programs, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with HRSA's mission and goals.
  • Provide expert advice on a broad range of public health programs and management initiatives related to healthcare operations.
  • Represent the Office Director in critical areas to effect improvements in agency performance and outcomes.
  • Ensure public health programs and activities align with Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC) and HRSA-wide goals.
  • Support the Office Director and management team in producing desired public health program outcomes.
  • Develop new concepts and methodologies for major aspects of agency-wide public health programs.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Knowledge of organizational, operational, and programmatic concepts applied by public health agencies.
  • Experience in developing and delivering public health programs in state and local settings.
  • Knowledge of specialized public health programs and administrative methods necessary for program functions.
  • Skill in oral and written communications, including making presentations and preparing reports.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in evaluating the effectiveness of public health programs and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Leadership experience in public health program management.
