About the position

The Supervisory Public Health Analyst position at the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is a critical role focused on analyzing public health programs, policies, and procedures to ensure the agency meets its mission and objectives. The position involves project management and leadership responsibilities, guiding staff in planning and evaluating health programs, and providing expert advice on public health initiatives. The role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to address the needs of underserved populations.

Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership, direction, and technical guidance to staff in planning, directing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating programs and initiatives.
  • Providing expert advice on a broad range of public health program and management initiatives related to health care program operations.
  • Consulting, advising, and guiding various customers and serving as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Initiating, developing, coordinating, and managing crosscutting projects that identify and address the emergent and ongoing needs of underserved populations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of organizational, operational, and programmatic concepts and practices applied by public, private, or nonprofit agencies engaged in public health activities.
  • Knowledge of methods, processes, and techniques used to develop and deliver public health programs in State and local settings.
  • Knowledge of a specialized public health program.
  • Skill in the application of administrative or analytical methods and techniques necessary for working within a public health organization.
  • Skill in oral and written communications, gathering and conveying information, making presentations, and preparing reports.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in providing authoritative leadership and guidance on public health policies to stakeholders.
  • Experience in analyzing systems, strategies, or services for public health program implementation.
