About the position

The Supervisory Technician will oversee the Instrumentation and Information Systems Division within the Performance Assessment Department at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Corona Division. This role involves building technical capacity for a secure Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation network infrastructure, managing a team of engineers and technicians, and ensuring optimal performance through quality assurance and collaboration with industry experts.

Responsibilities

• Build technical capacity for a reliable and secure Research, Development, Test and Evaluation network infrastructure.
• Assign, schedule, and fully task engineers, scientists, and technicians using network engineering principles.
• Recruit, train, and develop engineers, scientists, and technicians to support all systems domains.
• Set expectations and evaluate performance of direct reports continuously to achieve optimal results.
• Manage conflicts and mediate resolutions effectively.
• Implement quality assurance and conduct network operation reviews.
• Optimize network infrastructure using industry principles.
• Collaborate with IT network and cloud industry experts to solve challenges and prototype solutions.
• Support advanced data analytics, data analysis, data engineering, and software development.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
• Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and be subject to random testing.
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NT-04 (GS 11/12) grade level in the Federal service.
