About the position

The Supervisory Workplace Services Specialist is responsible for planning, developing, scheduling, and providing operational support for the Central Office or designated Regional office. This role involves managing workplace management programs, analyzing workspace alternatives, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations to create safe and efficient work environments. The position is based in Kansas City, MO, and requires occasional travel for training and meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Determine workload, establish priorities, and provide direction to subordinates on goal attainment and methodology.
  • Analyze functions and tasks assigned to optimize employee skills for work assignments.
  • Develop materials to justify staffing and budget requests, adapting to changing priorities.
  • Implement building policies, regulations, and procedures governing workplace management programs.
  • Represent the organization to provide authoritative expertise on policies and resolve complex problems affecting employees.
  • Manage physical condition assessments to ensure compliance with federal laws and regulations for safe environments.
  • Analyze and evaluate workspace alternatives and develop recommendations for workspace and equipment needs.
  • Oversee all contract activities related to workplace management programs.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and lead the work of team members.
  • Knowledge of workplace strategies and standards to develop policies compliant with Federal laws and regulations.
  • Skill in applying qualitative and quantitative methods for analysis.
  • Skill in oral and written communications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in customer relationship management.
  • Familiarity with federal workplace regulations and policies.
