About the position

The Bilingual Supplier Developer at Alfa Laval plays a vital role in the global sourcing team, focusing on enhancing supply chain performance through improvement projects with suppliers. This position emphasizes sustainability, quality, lead time, and cost improvements, ensuring a seamless supply chain operation.

Responsibilities

• Closely monitor supplier performance in collaboration with Operational Buyers.
• Drive containment actions and secure escalations according to the PIM process.
• Analyze supplier performance based on established processes.
• Initiate and drive corrective actions related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost improvements.
• Ensure continuous improvement of the Replenishment Process based on input from the Replenishment Process and Follow Up Process.
• Prepare and manage requests for quotation.
• Present bid analysis and recommend supplier based on technical and commercial decisions.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish & English are a must.
• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in supplier development and performance management.
• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with supply development tools.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Ability to drive change and lead corrective actions effectively.
• Manufacturing experience with metal work industry with proven knowledge of fabrication processes, materials, specifications.
• Technical knowledge to read and understand prints and specifications.
• Strategic thinking, with a strong business and negotiation acumen.

Nice-to-haves

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% in the USA and up to 40% in Mexico.
