About the position

The Supplier Management Associate plays a crucial role in developing and managing relationships with critical and high-risk suppliers. This position involves overseeing the entire Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) lifecycle, ensuring compliance with policies, and maintaining effective supplier performance. The associate will collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance vendor management practices, ensuring that the bank's operations are efficient and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and managing critical and high-risk supplier relationships.
  • Work closely with department heads and relationship owners to qualify, build, and monitor supplier relations.
  • Manage key strategic third-party vendor and business partner relationships throughout the TPRM lifecycle.
  • Oversee supplier initiation, onboarding, compliance, and budget monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts and SLAs, and maintain effective processes.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal partners to deliver best practices in vendor management.
  • Lead a portfolio of critical high-risk third parties.
  • Track completion of contingency plans, performance scorecards, and periodic due diligence.
  • Perform escalations when contract owners fail to support the Supplier Manager.
  • Implement a comprehensive monitoring and assessment plan for third-party effectiveness.
  • Ensure measurable SLAs are defined and reporting is established to evidence SLA metrics.
  • Monitor third-party issues and ensure timely actions are taken for remediation.
  • Partner with the Sourcing and Procurement team to ensure vendor contracts are compliant and protective.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of Supplier Management experience with data management and reporting.
  • Ability to interact with diverse stakeholders with varying technical skills.
  • Experience in managing complex relationships and holding stakeholders accountable.
  • Background in risk or security solutions processes and programs.
  • Strong negotiation, management, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Coupa.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Knowledge of Reg W.
  • Six Sigma certification.
  • Familiarity with Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI.
