About the position

The Supplier Quality Engineer Intern at Lockheed Martin is a summer internship role focused on supporting the Supplier Quality Management organization. The intern will engage in various projects aimed at reducing defect escapes from the supply base, utilizing technical skills in continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and data analysis. This position emphasizes collaboration and communication within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supplier Quality Management organization with various tasks to reduce defect escapes.
• Execute multiple projects related to supplier quality.
• Utilize root cause corrective action methods and lean six sigma concepts.
• Perform data analysis to support quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other technical discipline.
• Basic experience and/or knowledge of root cause corrective action methods, lean six sigma concepts, and other quality science tools.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a government security clearance.
