About the position

The Supplier Quality Engineer at GE Aerospace is responsible for driving quality assurance and development for assigned suppliers. This role involves implementing quality plans, qualifying suppliers, conducting audits, and utilizing supplier scorecards to drive improvements. The engineer will work autonomously while collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance and enhance supplier performance, contributing to the production of advanced aviation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation.
• Select suppliers through qualification processes.
• Own supplier results and drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards.
• Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance and develop improvement plans as needed.
• Develop in-depth knowledge of supplier quality assurance and development processes.
• Provide informal guidance to new team members and communicate complex information clearly.
• Utilize technical expertise and judgment to solve problems and make decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years quality/sourcing experience.
• Minimum of 3 years quality/sourcing experience.
