About the position

The Supplier Quality Engineer at GE Aerospace is responsible for driving quality assurance and development for assigned suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality plans and standards. This role involves supplier qualifications, audits, performance monitoring, and implementing action plans to enhance supplier performance. The engineer will utilize their technical expertise to solve problems and improve processes, contributing to the production of advanced aviation technologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation.
• Select suppliers through qualification processes.
• Own supplier results and drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards.
• Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance and develop improvement plans as needed.
• Assist key suppliers in achieving industrial standards of excellence.
• Utilize technical expertise and judgment to solve problems and make decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years quality/sourcing experience.
• Minimum of 3 years quality/sourcing experience.
