About the position

The Supplier Quality Engineer at GE Aerospace is responsible for ensuring quality standards are met for assigned suppliers. This role involves implementing quality plans, conducting supplier audits, and driving improvements based on supplier performance metrics. The engineer will work closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with industrial standards and will utilize their technical expertise to solve problems and enhance supplier quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation.
• Select suppliers through qualification processes.
• Own supplier results and drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards.
• Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance and develop improvement plans as needed.
• Assist key suppliers in achieving industrial standards of excellence.
• Utilize technical expertise and judgment to solve problems and make decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years quality/sourcing experience.
• Minimum of 3 years quality/sourcing experience.
