About the position

The Supplier Recovery and Rate Readiness Leader at GE Aviation is responsible for overseeing the overall delivery performance of the Unison supply base, both tactically and strategically. This role involves defining and executing strategies to monitor and identify low-performing suppliers, working closely with them to enhance their on-time delivery and overall performance. The leader will utilize data collection and problem-solving skills to identify the root causes of performance issues and engage with suppliers and relevant Unison team members to resolve these challenges effectively. A significant aspect of this position includes regular travel to suppliers, estimated at 50-75%, to foster relationships with key contacts and address issues impacting supplier performance. The leader will develop effective communication methods for performance metrics with suppliers and build strong relationships with top leaders within supplier organizations to drive improvements and sustain performance. Additionally, the role requires the use of lean tools to identify any internal Unison problems affecting supplier performance and to work cross-functionally to implement solutions.
