About the position

The Supply and Demand Planner at SEB Professional North America plays a crucial role in leading and developing the Supply & Demand Planning processes to ensure an optimal Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This position is responsible for creating superior demand forecasts, maintaining ideal stock levels, and achieving high customer service levels while minimizing slow-moving and obsolete stock (SLOBS), costs, and complexity. The Supply and Demand Planner will actively analyze and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, including participation in cross-functional projects. In this role, the Supply and Demand Planner will collaborate with central and local Supply Chain functions, Sales, Service, and Marketing teams to ensure an effective S&OP process and a rolling 12-month forecast. The planner will participate in the preparation of monthly demand review and S&OP meetings, assisting the Demand & Supply Manager in identifying potential gaps in the business plan. Proactive measures will be implemented to ensure budget targets are met in terms of net sales, inventory levels, and customer service. The position also involves ensuring stock availability and providing reliable estimated time of arrival (ETA) information to internal stakeholders, including customer service and sales teams. The Supply and Demand Planner will create and track purchase orders, manage inbound shipments, and handle master data management duties as assigned. Additionally, the planner will manage escalations regarding stock availability with suppliers and factories, and work closely with the Demand Manager to achieve KPIs and propose continuous improvement actions. Managing safety stock levels, lead times, and customer/supplier collaboration will be essential to ensure the right level of stock availability, while also developing action plans for managing SLOBS in cooperation with product development and central teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Supply & Demand Planning for SEB Professional North America.
  • Ensure optimal S&OP process and maintain a 12-month rolling forecast.
  • Participate in monthly Demand review/S&OP meetings.
  • Assist in identifying gaps in the business plan and implement countermeasures.
  • Ensure stock availability and provide reliable ETA to stakeholders.
  • Create and track purchase orders and manage inbound shipments.
  • Handle master data management duties as assigned.
  • Manage escalations regarding stock availability with suppliers and factories.
  • Collaborate with the Demand Manager to achieve KPIs and propose improvements.
  • Manage safety stock, lead times, and customer/supplier collaboration.
  • Develop action plans for managing obsolete and slow-moving stock (SLOBS).
  • Manage the product life cycle in cooperation with product development and central teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics or supply chain preferred, but experience can substitute for a degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a planning role.
  • Strong sense of urgency and customer centricity.
  • Strategic long-term vision with the ability to take calculated risks.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercial and business awareness.
  • Team player with a LEAN mindset, focusing on opportunities rather than problems.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with SAP.
