About the position

The Purchasing Agent at CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc. is responsible for managing procurement functions for designated product categories, including sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and inventory management. This role involves executing purchase agreements, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with cost and quality standards. The Purchasing Agent will also support marketing initiatives and participate in developing procurement strategies to optimize food cost budgets.

Responsibilities

• Source and negotiate contracts for designated product categories.
• Execute and enforce purchase agreements, monitoring supplier compliance.
• Maintain communication with suppliers to ensure adherence to agreements.
• Conduct RFP solicitation processes and analyze competitive bids.
• Develop agreements documenting negotiated terms and manage their execution.
• Manage supplier relationships to resolve issues and ensure satisfaction.
• Support marketing initiatives by identifying suppliers and managing inventory.
• Participate in developing procurement strategies and adjusting inventory levels.
• Evaluate previous contracts and perform market research for pricing trends.

Requirements

• Approximately three years of experience in food purchasing, preferably in foodservice.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
