About the position

As a Supply Chain Analyst within the Supply Chain & Operations team at Ernst & Young (EY), you will play a pivotal role in advising clients on enhancing their manufacturing operations and improving processes across various industry sectors, including automotive, consumer goods, industrial goods, oil and gas, specialty chemicals, and aerospace. Your primary focus will be on analyzing supply chain processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend actionable changes that can lead to improved performance and cost savings. You will leverage your expertise in logistics data analysis to help clients understand, predict, and control their logistics operations, ensuring that their supply chain functions effectively from end to end. In this role, you will also be responsible for transforming clients' Front and Back Office functions by applying performance improvement techniques. This includes managing after-sales service supply chains, optimizing spares inventory planning, and enhancing the performance of field engineers. You will provide advisory services in critical areas such as manufacturing planning, strategy, outsourcing/insourcing, lean manufacturing, warehouse management, materials management, product lifecycle management, and plant management. Your contributions will be essential in assisting clients to align their outputs with planned sales, manage material purchases, and streamline the logistics flow of products from origin to consumption. To ensure the delivery of high-quality client services, you will monitor project progress and maintain long-term relationships with clients. Your role will require you to demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge, which will be crucial in building trust and rapport with clients. This position is full-time, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on manufacturing operations and improvement for manufacturing processes across various industry sectors.
  • Analyze supply chain processes to identify and recommend changes for efficiency.
  • Analyze logistics data and apply analytic methods to advise clients on logistics operations and processes.
  • Transform clients' Front and Back Office functions using performance improvement techniques.
  • Manage after-sales service supply chains, including service and repair management and spares inventory planning.
  • Provide advisory services in manufacturing planning, strategy, outsourcing/insourcing, and lean manufacturing.
  • Assist clients in aligning outputs with planned sales and managing logistics flow of products.
  • Deliver quality client services by monitoring project progress and maintaining long-term client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field and 5 years of work experience, or a Master's degree with 4 years of work experience.
  • 4 years of experience providing advisory and/or consulting services in supply chain and operational areas.
  • 4 years of experience in transforming operations through Autonomous Maintenance work and focused improvement loss elimination.
  • 4 years of experience in Total Productive Maintenance, Run to Target, and High Performance Organization.
  • 3 years of advisory or consulting experience in manufacturing operations improvement in the consumer products sector.
  • 4 years of experience in new product development (NPD) or product lifecycle management (PLM) domains.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in teaching or coaching manufacturing client employees.
  • Experience in developing and running technical meetings and workshops for manufacturing clients.
  • Experience in selling Manufacturing Operations projects.
