About the position

The Supply Chain Analyst (Transportation) at KeHE Distributors is responsible for developing and maintaining financial metrics and trend analysis reporting for the Inbound Transportation department. This role supports the team by compiling, processing, and analyzing data related to key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial reporting, while also driving efficiencies and continuous improvement in transportation metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain financial, metrics, and trend analysis reporting for the Inbound Transportation department.
  • Support the Inbound Transportation team with data compilation, processing, and analysis related to KPIs and financial reporting.
  • Participate in account and customer-related programs and special projects to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Identify optimal freight solutions to achieve transportation metrics such as payload utilization and on-time performance.
  • Plan transportation of products from suppliers to distribution centers using cost-effective methods.
  • Generate daily/weekly/period reports from TMS, ERP, Power BI, and other systems to facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Consult with project team members and customer stakeholders to document business needs and objectives.
  • Manage and report on relevant KPIs and provide ad hoc reporting as requested.
  • Analyze cost efficiency of existing lanes and load configurations, implementing efficiencies where appropriate.
  • Research procurement and shipping options, analyze financial data, and oversee projects to identify problem areas and budget deviations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to improve load profitability and reduce negative freight income.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities across internal and external customers.
  • Provide root cause analysis to resolve chronic service issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; degree in Supply Chain, Accounting, Business, Operations, or Analytics preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, purchasing, or transportation industry required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Access, and TMS systems.
  • Experience with Enterprise systems like Manhattan and financial software is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to interpret data into meaningful solutions and communicate effectively across teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a fast-paced foodservice purchasing and/or logistics environment is highly preferred.
