About the position

The position involves assisting in the management of a large inventory of over 14,000 SKUs and maintaining relationships with over 300 vendors. The role focuses on ensuring efficient inventory turns, conducting trend analysis, and managing vendor relationships for both generic and brand products across various healthcare markets. The incumbent will perform statistical analysis, support decision-making processes, and collaborate with supply chain personnel to achieve inventory objectives and cost savings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing over 14,000 SKUs and vendor relationships.
  • Perform statistical analysis to support decision-making for product selection and market forecasting.
  • Create and manage company forecasting for new products in collaboration with the Director of Supply Chain.
  • Strategically manage inventory breakdown to achieve company inventory turn objectives.
  • Analyze historical data and industry trends to recommend plans for inventory management.
  • Use electronic equipment for data management and presentations.
  • Analyze profitability of new product proposals and develop plans to increase gross profit.
  • Study market pricing to ensure competitive costing and pricing.
  • Develop and improve supplier relationships and maximize efficiencies for information flow.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or 2-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and FDA regulations.
  • Experience in inventory analysis, forecasting, and supply management.
  • Familiarity with SCORE buying systems, TPS, and/or JDE.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Access.

  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to think logically and assess data analysis effectiveness.
  • Experience in supplier negotiations and market pricing.
