About the position
The Supply Chain Analyst will serve as a strategic link between the Supply Chain Data Team, the Supply Chain Department, and the rest of the company, impacting how Fastenal manages product flow both domestically and internationally. This full-time position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding and training.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing data and communicating the results clearly
- Compiling, structuring and analyzing data to support business needs
- Collaborating with various departments
- Design implementation and support of various projects
- General prioritization of projects
- Key understanding of business objectives within supply chain
- Analyzing and deriving meaningful summaries from large data sets
Requirements
- Prior administrative, customer service, or industry experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
- Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
- Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Work independently as well as in a team environment
- Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
- Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
Nice-to-haves
- Possess or are working towards a degree in Math, Statistics, Data Science, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Business Administration, or a related Business field
- Database management experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience working with software like Tableau, Power BI, R, or Smartsheets
