About the position
As a Full-time Supply Chain Analyst at Fastenal, you will serve as a strategic link between the Supply Chain Data Team, the Supply Chain Department, and the broader company. Your role will significantly impact how Fastenal manages product flow both domestically and internationally. After an onboarding and training period, there may be opportunities for a flexible schedule based on performance goals.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing data and communicating the results clearly
- Compiling, structuring and analyzing data to support business needs
- Collaborating with various departments
- Design implementation and support of various projects
- General prioritization of projects
- Key understanding of business objectives within supply chain
- Analyzing and deriving meaningful summaries from large data sets
Requirements
- Prior administrative, customer service, or industry experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
- Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
- Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Work independently as well as in a team environment
- Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
- Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
Nice-to-haves
- Possess or are working towards a degree in Math, Statistics, Data Science, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Business Administration, or a related Business field
- Database management experience
- Advanced knowledge of excel
- Experience working with software like Tableau, Power BI, R, or Smartsheets
