About the position
The Supply Chain Analyst position at Biosource Recruiting in Boston, MA, is focused on driving demand planning activities within the food manufacturing sector. The role requires strong analytical skills and collaboration with the Sales team to ensure accurate forecasting and alignment of production capacity with product demand.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns
- Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies to management
- Implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy and reliability
- Effectively communicate forecast and inventory estimates to management
- Monitor and report significant changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
- Create and maintain monthly forecasts to guide Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and production planning
- Contribute to monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) sessions
- Address demand-related issues promptly and efficiently
- Coordinate demand for new product introductions and limited-time offers
- Promote a culture of safety and collaborate with management to ensure a safe work environment
- Participate in other assigned projects and duties
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance is required
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or other Supply Chain functions
- Strong preference for experience in multiple supply chain disciplines such as Manufacturing, Logistics, Procurement, R&D, and Quality
