About the position

The Supply Chain Analytics & BI Specialist at Del Monte Foods, Inc. plays a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency of our supply chain operations through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making. This position is integral to the optimization of supply chain processes, focusing on collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to various supply chain functions. The specialist will identify areas for improvement and implement solutions aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and streamlining operations. In this role, the specialist will gather and analyze data from multiple sources within the supply chain, including inventory levels, transportation costs, supplier performance, and demand forecasts. Utilizing statistical techniques and advanced analytics, the specialist will identify patterns, trends, and insights that can inform decision-making and drive process improvements. The development of dashboards, reports, and visualizations will be essential for effectively communicating findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain performance, such as on-time delivery, lead times, and inventory turnover, will be a critical responsibility. The specialist will identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization, developing and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and improve overall supply chain agility. The role also involves leading cross-functional projects aimed at optimizing supply chain processes and improving inventory management. The specialist will champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the supply chain organization, staying informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in supply chain analytics and business intelligence. As the PowerBI and Analytics expert, the specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, finance, and IT, to develop data-driven solutions that address business needs and ensure alignment with broader organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze data from various sources within the supply chain, including inventory levels, transportation costs, supplier performance, and demand forecasts.
  • Deliver key outcomes and strategies from the data analysis.
  • Utilize statistical techniques and advanced analytics to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can inform decision-making and drive process improvements.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Act as a liaison between different departments to ensure alignment and coordination of supply chain initiatives with broader organizational goals.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice dissemination across functional areas to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Statistics or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience.
  • Proven experience in supply chain analytics, business intelligence, or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of supply chain concepts, processes, and best practices, including demand forecasting, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
