About the position

The Supply Chain and Analytics Leader at IBM will spearhead initiatives from the Chief Sustainability Office, focusing on integrating sustainability into supplier relationships and business strategies. This role emphasizes strategic supplier engagement, leveraging data analytics to drive sustainability objectives, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The leader will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create a comprehensive sustainable procurement policy and monitor the impact of supply chain practices on sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Drive sustainability in business decisions and procurement factors.
• Ensure compliance with supply chain emissions, due diligence, and responsible sourcing laws.
• Develop effective strategies for assessing and acting on emerging laws and regulations.
• Conduct mapping and data analytics to execute sustainability strategies.
• Assess IBM's supply chain impact and set strategies for business engagement and environmental risk.
• Create a comprehensive sustainable procurement policy with KPIs for suppliers.
• Integrate sustainability criteria into the supplier selection and evaluation process.
• Monitor emerging laws and regulations for advocacy efforts.
• Leverage tools and technologies to track performance in the supply base.
• Drive innovation in sustainable procurement by identifying new opportunities for improvement.
• Attend Quarterly Business Reviews with key suppliers.

Requirements

• Experience with supply chain and procurement.
• Experience identifying, assessing, and executing on business and partnership opportunities.
• Strong strategic, critical, and analytical thinking using data.
• Extremely collaborative in nature, able to work across diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong project management and problem-solving skills.
