About the position

The Supply Chain and Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing logistics, customer service, and supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on managing day-to-day operations, implementing improvements, and ensuring efficient workflow while tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Receiving & Put-away, Cycle Count, Picking & Shipping, Logistics Layout, and Customer Service.
  • Set clear goals for team and address all team issues in a timely manner.
  • Manages customer totes for availability- Returnables ordering, handling, & daily customer management.
  • Manage packaging (expense/corrugated/bags & customer packaging) to ensure production has packaging available yet reduce obsolescence.
  • Manages & supports customer service including keying orders/forecasts, handling customers issues, and working with other departments (such as EDI, Quality, Production, Planning) on issues that impact the customer.
  • Develops and implements procedures, practices, time studies, workflow, parts flow, sequence of operation and work arrangement to improve expediency, accuracy/efficiency.
  • Leads cycle count activity to ensure inventory is validated with root cause & countermeasures are developed for inventory variances.
  • Identify, test & implement Kaizen improvements for Logistics Department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5 years of experience in supply chain and logistics management.
  • Strong skills in Supply Chain, Order Fulfillment, Materials Management, Operations, Customer Relationship Management, Vendor Management, Decision Making, and Inventory.
