About the position

The Supply Chain and Operations Consulting Manager - Retail Logistics role at Accenture involves leading efforts to enhance supply chain processes for Fortune 500 clients. This position focuses on developing strategies and operating models that integrate various functions such as planning, procurement, and fulfillment, while leveraging data analytics and digital technologies to drive efficiency and sustainability in supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Find solutions to clients' supply chain and operations-related challenges
  • Spot and solve challenges using analytical skills to dive into data
  • Lead workshops to improve organizations and processes
  • Determine methods and procedures for project completion
  • Provide clients with insights to enhance operational efficiency
  • Challenge legacy working methods to fuel client growth
  • Utilize digital technology to improve organizational effectiveness
  • Lead small to medium-sized teams with diverse skills
  • Manage and coach team members, collaborating with internal and external parties
  • Support client sales origination and thought leadership development
  • Ensure projects align with client goals
  • Drive positive community impact through work

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working on Supply Chain initiatives
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Transportation Management (TMS) systems and Warehouse Management systems (WMS)
  • Minimum of 5 years of external experience at a consulting firm or equivalent internal consulting experience at Manager level
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience); Associate's degree requires minimum 6 years' work experience

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of logistics processes for Retail, including inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and distribution
  • Deep specialization in procurement or cost takeout initiatives
  • Experience in forecasting, supply chain planning, and inventory optimization
  • Manufacturing production experience in continuous or discrete environments
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in problem-solving
  • Strong relationship-building and leadership skills
  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree
  • Functional-level understanding of technology solutions
  • Lean or Six Sigma qualifications
  • Experience with data analytics tools for improvement opportunities
  • Prior experience using visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, and analytics tools like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics
