About the position

The Supply Chain and Operations Consulting Manager for Utilities is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing supply chain processes within the utilities sector, including electricity, gas, water, and renewable energy. This role focuses on developing strategies and operating models that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery for clients. The position requires a deep understanding of supply chain management principles and the ability to implement strategic solutions that connect suppliers and customers across extended supply chains.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, and optimize supply chain processes within the utilities sector.
  • Develop strategies and operating models that integrate planning, procurement, product design, manufacturing, and fulfillment functions.
  • Use data skills to implement strategies that improve the supply chain process.
  • Lead workshops to identify improvements in organizations and processes.
  • Provide clients with insights to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Challenge legacy processes to drive client growth.
  • Utilize digital technology to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Manage and coach small to medium-sized teams with diverse backgrounds.
  • Support client sales origination and thought leadership development.
  • Drive positive community impact through project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Utilities Industry with digital transformation experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working on Supply Chain initiatives.
  • Minimum of 5 years of external consulting experience or equivalent internal consulting experience at a Manager level.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience).

Nice-to-haves

  • Deep specialization in procurement or 3rd party cost takeout initiatives.
  • Experience in forecasting, supply chain planning, and inventory optimization.
  • Manufacturing production experience in continuous or discrete environments.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in problem-solving.
  • Strong relationship-building and leadership skills.
  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree.
  • Functional-level understanding of technology solutions.
  • Lean or Six Sigma qualifications.
  • Experience with data analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx.
