About the position

The Supply Chain and Operations Consulting Manager for Utilities at Accenture is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing supply chain processes within the utilities sector, including electricity, gas, water, and renewable energy. This role involves developing strategies that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery while integrating various functions such as planning, procurement, and manufacturing. The position requires strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to lead teams in delivering impactful solutions to clients' supply chain challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, and optimize supply chain processes within the utilities sector.
  • Develop and implement strategies that improve the entire supply chain process.
  • Lead workshops to identify improvements in organizations and processes.
  • Provide clients with insights to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Challenge legacy processes to drive client growth.
  • Utilize digital technology to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Manage and coach small to medium-sized teams with diverse skills.
  • Support client sales origination and thought leadership development.
  • Ensure projects align with clients' key goals.
  • Drive positive community impact through work.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Utilities Industry with digital transformation experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working on Supply Chain initiatives.
  • Minimum of 5 years of external consulting experience or equivalent internal consulting experience at a Manager level.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 12 years).
  • If Associate's degree, must have a minimum of 6 years of work experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Deep specialization in procurement or cost takeout initiatives.
  • Experience in forecasting, supply chain planning, and inventory optimization.
  • Manufacturing production experience in continuous or discrete environments.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in problem-solving.
  • Strong relationship-building and leadership skills.
  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree.
  • Functional-level understanding of technology solutions.
  • Lean or Six Sigma qualifications.
  • Experience with data analytics tools like Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, and Adobe Analytics.
