About the position

The Supply Chain and Operations Consulting Manager for Utilities is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing supply chain processes within the utilities sector, including electricity, gas, water, and renewable energy. This role focuses on developing strategies and operating models that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery for clients in the utilities industry. The position requires strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to implement strategic solutions that drive positive change in supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, and optimize supply chain processes within the utilities sector.
  • Find solutions to clients' supply chain and operations related challenges.
  • Lead workshops to identify improvements in organizations and processes.
  • Determine methods and procedures for project completion.
  • Provide clients with insights to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Challenge legacy processes to promote client growth.
  • Utilize digital technology to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead small to medium-sized teams with diverse skills and backgrounds.
  • Manage and coach team members, collaborating with internal and external parties.
  • Support client sales origination and thought leadership development.
  • Ensure projects align with clients' key goals.
  • Drive positive community impact through work.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Utilities Industry with digital transformation experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working on Supply Chain initiatives.
  • Minimum of 5 years of external consulting experience or equivalent internal consulting experience at a Manager level.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years' work experience).
  • If Associate's degree, must have equivalent minimum 6-year work experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Deep specialization in procurement or 3rd party cost takeout initiatives.
  • Experience in forecasting, supply chain planning, and inventory optimization.
  • Manufacturing production experience in continuous or discrete environments.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in problem-solving.
  • Strong relationship-building and leadership skills.
  • MBA or equivalent graduate degree.
  • Functional-level understanding of technology solutions.
  • Lean or Six Sigma qualifications.
  • Experience with data analytics tools for improvement opportunities.
  • Prior experience using visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics).
