About the position
The Supply Chain Apprentice position at Revere Electric Supply Co is designed for individuals seeking to gain comprehensive experience in various segments of the supply chain. This full-time role involves rotating through key areas such as Material Management Services, Procurement, Logistics and Distribution, Inventory Control, and Transportation, allowing the apprentice to develop a well-rounded understanding of the company's operations and practices.
Responsibilities
- Work in several departments within the Operations organization to understand processes and procedures.
- Set goals based on competencies sought in a leader, including Self-Confidence, Commitment, Initiative, and more.
- Meet performance (SMART) goals and objectives set by upper management.
- Report on progress of goals and objectives to management and key trainers.
- Monitor performance progress with management and key trainers.
- Observe experienced workers to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for departmental duties.
- Train in functions and operations of related departments to facilitate transferability and promotional opportunities.
- Provide support in various departments, including reporting, data-entry, presentation creation, and customer service.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Business or Supply Chain, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a distribution environment processing transactions.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task.
- Good computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office; experience with EPICOR and Eclipse is a plus.
- Excellent team player with a customer service orientation.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with good math skills.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
