About the position

The Supply Chain Business Manager for SourceBlue at Turner Construction is responsible for managing the growth and utilization of supply chain services within Turner business units. This role involves overseeing project management of supply chain operations, collaborating with sales teams, providing supply chain expertise, and ensuring the delivery of services to committed projects. The position requires strong leadership, project management skills, and the ability to engage with clients and vendors effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project management of SourceBlue supply chain operations and delivery of services to Turner Business Unit committed projects.
  • Collaborate with BU sales team and project leadership on SB sales activities.
  • Participate in lead generation and creation of solutions for single-site clients.
  • Provide supply chain expertise and guidance to BU projects and collaborate with Preconstruction teams.
  • Participate in sales proposal development, define scopes of work and cost of services, and secure contracts with clients.
  • Manage team and operational execution for projects in flight, serving as escalation for issue management.
  • Establish measures and systems to monitor and mitigate risks.
  • Own outcomes of respective BU's project performance and growth including project budget estimates and profit plan.
  • Strategize with internal SB teams to assess, review, and identify products based on client scope and requirements.
  • Oversee development of project specific scope of work for equipment vendors based on established client requirements.
  • Manage SB staff and direct operations and project management processes.
  • Oversee and/or execute submittals, testing, delivery, start-up support, and record documents for SB purchased equipment.
  • Educate jobsite personnel on requirements regarding implementation of purchased equipment.
  • Manage budget and financial reporting, interpret and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget.
  • Compile and submit final equipment warranties and as-built drawings.
  • Manage Pay Application review meeting with stakeholders and oversee process with accounting team.
  • Participate in hiring process, onboard and deliver timely performance feedback for direct reports.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of commercial construction experience or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience in the commercial construction industry and knowledge of regional market, competition, and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of estimating, construction costs, scheduling, purchasing, and engineering principles and techniques.
  • Technical supply chain product knowledge with expertise in differentiating services.
  • Project management skills, able to manage high volumes of work in a complex environment.
  • Interpersonal relationship building skills, ability to engage and secure partnerships in the construction and supply chain industry.
  • Ability to identify sales opportunities and collaborate on solutions to secure work.
  • Negotiation skills with the ability to influence and engage others.
  • Advanced presentation delivery skills, anticipating needs of the audience and tailoring communications appropriately.
  • Process and critical thinking skills with sound judgment decision-making.
  • Supervisory experience desired, with the ability to delegate and manage staff.
  • Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office suite of applications.
