About the position

The Supply Chain Buyer is a key member of the associate team responsible for executing tactical and strategic buying activities to ensure timely delivery and overall part readiness for Manufacturing, Engine Assembly, and MRO. This role involves supporting cost, sourcing, and supplier management functions within the Purchasing Department, including initiating and evaluating RFQs/RFPs, placing purchase orders based on cost, quality, and delivery requirements, and coordinating meetings with suppliers and customers to meet business project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tactical and strategic buying activities to support on-time delivery and part readiness.
  • Support cost, sourcing, and supplier management functions in the Purchasing Department.
  • Initiate and evaluate RFQs/RFPs to support business needs.
  • Place purchase orders based on cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate meetings with suppliers and customers to ensure project goals are met.
  • Manage supplier relationships and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Conduct contract reviews and negotiate terms and conditions.
  • Develop strategic plans and coordinate projects to communicate changes and progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, manufacturing engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience in procurement or supply chain.
  • Minimum 3 years of procurement or logistics-related experience.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships and work in teams to build consensus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Good negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Technical understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings, preferably in Aerospace.
