The Supply Chain Corporate Food Safety Plan and Hygienic Zoning Associate Manager position at PepsiCo Foods North America involves conducting comprehensive food safety assessments across company-owned facilities, specifically within the Frito-Lay and Quaker divisions. The primary goal of this role is to identify areas for program enhancements that ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, with a targeted completion date for assessments set for the end of 2026. The incumbent will serve as the program lead for several food safety initiatives, focusing on the execution and prioritization of enhancements to improve food safety performance at manufacturing locations. This will require effective leadership and collaboration with various stakeholders, including the R&D Food Safety Center of Excellence, Legal Counsel, Supply Chain HQ Quality and Food Safety Teams, Engineering, and Leadership Team members. In this role, the Associate Manager will be responsible for conducting site assessments to ensure compliance with established procedures and FDA regulatory requirements. They will identify, prioritize, and develop corrective and preventative action plans for food safety issues, as well as enhance existing Food Safety Programs to facilitate change management and ensure the sustainability of these changes. The position also involves supporting FSMA food safety plans, allergen safety, and odor/aroma mitigation requirements, which encompass storage, handling, sanitation, and training. The Associate Manager will utilize statistical methods to track process capability and guide the correction of performance gaps, while also championing food safety improvements across the organization. The role emphasizes the importance of creating an inclusive culture and fostering strong work relationships with stakeholders, particularly within the R&D food safety team. It is important to note that this position does not have any direct reports, but it does require significant travel, estimated at 50-70% domestically and to Canada and Mexico.
