About the position

The Supply Chain Data Analyst Co-Op at Bayer is a role designed for students pursuing a degree in Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field. The position focuses on supporting the digital transformation strategy of the supply chain by preparing reports, maintaining databases, and creating data visualizations. The co-op will work closely with the team to analyze data, identify trends, and support various projects aimed at future growth.

Responsibilities

  • Support Supply Chain digital transformation strategy
  • Prepare reports and dashboards stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
  • Maintain and organize area databases, centralized and updated
  • Create data visualizations for key processes
  • Consult with the team to identify user needs to compile, query, and visualize data
  • Generate standard or custom reports summarizing planning, transportation, inventory data
  • Perform data analysis using standard statistical modeling, graphic analysis, tools, methods, and techniques that allows scenario-based analysis
  • Convert complex data sets into reports that can easily be understood
  • Review existing data management sources and reports (Data One, Jarvis, SAP, MES) and identify how to match their capabilities with the team's needs
  • Understand questions, identify data required, synthesize reports, identify patterns, and anticipate additional areas of interest
  • Provide support for additional projects as required, including data to support planning for future growth.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in bachelor's or master's degree program in Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or related field
  • Successfully completed sophomore year or higher and returning to school upon completion of the intern or co-op assignment
  • Ability to commute daily to and from work location in Muscatine, IA
  • Willingness to work in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least overall GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point).
