About the position

The Supply Chain Data Analyst at Sally Beauty Corporate is responsible for enhancing the data infrastructure and reporting structures within the Distribution and Transportation teams. This role involves analyzing supply chain data, developing business tools, and ensuring the accuracy of reported data to meet key performance indicators. The analyst will also contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and policies, while providing project management support for various initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Work with Distribution and Transportation teams to understand the business environment and develop best practices for data repositories and reporting structures.
• Review current reporting approaches, assess needs, identify gaps, and propose improvements for data infrastructure.
• Assist in developing business tools and processes to define, capture, and monitor metrics.
• Regularly analyze supply chain data to ensure key performance indicators are met and lead improvements in processes and procedures.
• Produce and enhance reports and dashboards, creating standards for reporting consistency across the department.
• Develop a suite of standardized reports published daily/weekly/monthly to measure operational and financial performance against objectives.
• Research business problems and contribute to the creation of models for analysis and improvement.
• Efficiently handle large data sets and process them into required formats.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis as needed.
• Provide project management support for the implementation of strategies, policies, procedures, and associated tactics.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of all reported data.
• Actively participate in the continuous development and innovation of systems and policies by contributing ideas for new features and functionality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics, Supply Chain, Mathematics, or Business Intelligence.
• 2 years of experience with analytics, reporting, data modeling, and data engineering.
• 2 years of experience creating reporting standards and processes.
• 2 years of experience creating dashboards in Tableau.
• 2 years of experience with project management.
• 2 years of experience implementing new systems and procedures.
• Experience with Excel and writing SQL queries for data retrieval.
