About the position

The Supply Chain Demand Planner at BIGGBY COFFEE is responsible for forecasting demand and ensuring the seamless supply of high-quality products across the franchise network. This role is crucial for maintaining optimal inventory levels of coffee, beverages, food items, and other essential supplies, enabling franchisees to consistently deliver the BIGGBY COFFEE experience. The position involves developing product forecasts, analyzing sales trends, managing inventory, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance supply chain efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain product forecasts for limited time products based on historical data and market trends.
  • Regularly update forecasts to reflect seasonal trends, promotional activities, and new product launches.
  • Analyze sales trends and consumption patterns to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory levels across the supply chain and support the procurement team in adjusting stock levels as needed.
  • Identify and help resolve potential supply chain disruptions.
  • Support the Procurement team in negotiating contracts with suppliers.
  • Provide guidance to franchisees on inventory management and demand forecasting best practices.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in demand planning and inventory management.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and lead initiatives to adopt new tools for demand planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Food Science, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management within the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in statistical modeling and demand planning software.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills; experience with food and beverage inventory management systems is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Ability to oversee and improve the procurement process.

Nice-to-haves

  • APICS certification or similar supply chain management certification preferred.
  • Experience working in or with a franchise system highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the specialty coffee industry, including knowledge of coffee bean sourcing, roasting, and distribution preferred.
