The Demand Planner plays a crucial role in our Product team, which leads the transformation of ideas through research, design, development, marketing, and sales. This position is responsible for maintaining forecast models based on both company and customer needs, ensuring that we can deliver the best products on the market. The Demand Planner will analyze and review statistical data and forecasting accuracy, supporting management with risk assessments and mitigation activities. This role will also propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy and supply chain efficiency. The Demand Planner will collaborate with various departments, including sales and purchasing, to obtain and share information on demand drivers and changes. A key responsibility will be managing and driving part number changes in the system to ensure that breakpoints are executed properly, avoiding obsolescence or customer shortages. The position requires a proactive approach to address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner, fully owning the local demand planning and forecasting for our North America distribution, with additional focus on special order demand, new program launches, and End of Life Programs. In this role, the Demand Planner will communicate demand gaps and significant forecast changes to Supply Planning, determining the course of action to bridge gaps and effectively communicating back to Supply Chain Planners. The position also involves developing and implementing tools and processes to improve forecast capabilities, efficiency, and accuracy, performing root cause analysis, and managing system setups for engineering changes and material master management. Reporting and data analysis will be essential to identify gaps and demand misalignment, making this a critical position within our supply chain operations.
