About the position

As a Supply Chain- Demand Planning Analyst II at Weee! Inc, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Chicago team by ensuring that our inventory is consistently stocked with the latest and most popular products. Your expertise in demand planning and inventory management will be essential as you forecast future demand for core items, promotions, seasonal products, and new arrivals. By analyzing customer demand and vendor performance, you will provide critical insights that will help optimize our inventory levels, reduce waste, and ultimately increase sales. In this collaborative and dynamic environment, you will work closely with various departments to review and refine our day-to-day tactics and strategies related to demand planning and inventory management. Your responsibilities will include providing daily guidance and oversight to the category while identifying and analyzing demand forecast risks. You will develop effective mitigation plans to ensure optimal inventory levels and maintain high customer satisfaction. Staying ahead of the curve is vital, as you will regularly plan and update forecasts for new products, seasonal items, discounts, promotions, and new regions. Additionally, you will analyze and troubleshoot demand-related issues in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining demand planning processes to continuously improve forecast accuracy. Assisting in the development of annual budgets and cost-effectiveness initiatives will also be part of your role, along with providing routine and ad-hoc demand-related reports to management. You will oversee and maintain optimal inventory levels in the warehouse through effective inventory planning, working closely with vendors to ensure optimal delivery performance. Building constructive and effective cross-functional relationships with a broad group of business partners will be key to your success in this position, as will your ability to influence others by presenting ideas and directions that lead team members to action.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily guidance and oversight to the category while working closely with cross-functional teams.
• Identify and analyze demand forecast risks, and develop effective mitigation plans to ensure optimal inventory levels and customer satisfaction.
• Regularly plan and update forecasts for new products, seasonal items, discounts, promotions & new regions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot demand-related issues in a timely and accurate manner, and maintain demand planning processes to continuously improve forecast accuracy.
• Assist in developing annual budgets and cost-effectiveness initiatives, and provide routine and ad-hoc demand related reports to management.
• Oversee and maintain optimal inventory levels in the warehouse through effective inventory planning, working with vendors to ensure optimal delivery performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a demand planning/forecasting role.
• Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
• Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
• High proficiency with SQL and Advanced Excel.
• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
