About The Position

The Supply Chain Development Associate position is part of the Manufacturing Development Program (MDP) at Conagra Brands, designed for college graduates aiming to build a career in manufacturing. This accelerated training program lasts 24-36 months and provides exposure to various facets of Supply Chain within a diverse manufacturing organization. Associates will complete two distinct roles: first as a Process Lead for 12-18 months, followed by a promotion to Line Lead, contributing to the organization's success and preparing for future leadership roles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Food Science, or Agriculture.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Desire to grow within the company's Manufacturing Department.
  • Ability to relocate up to 3 times in the first three years of employment.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
  • Proven leadership ability including collaboration, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to react to day-to-day situations without losing sight of strategy.
  • Financial aptitude including budget management and cost driver understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Owns reliability improvement for an assigned production line using reliability tools.
  • Develops the operating teams' technical understanding and mastery of process control.
  • Verifies the accuracy of operating equipment efficiency data and collaborates with other leads to address gaps.
  • Coaches plant resources in the implementation of improvement methodology.
  • Supports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost, and customer service.
  • Develops implementation plans and standards for critical improvement processes.
  • Conducts analysis for data trends on raw material, work in process, and finished product.
  • Analyzes trends and/or process control opportunities and challenges.
  • Learns core responsibilities in the Conagra Performance System (CPS).
  • Writes/updates Standard Operating Procedures and associated training documents.
  • Owns results and loss reduction for assigned production line as a Line Lead.
  • Manages production staff to attain production and quality goals.
  • Identifies problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves issues.
  • Ensures production resources are available to maintain production schedules.
  • Provides training and qualifies plant resources.
  • Assures products meet/exceed requirements specified by customers and regulations.
  • Documents and updates required information for products, policies, and procedures.
