About the position

The Supply Chain Engineer position at Novo Nordisk is a strategic role that focuses on optimizing the NNPILP Supply Chain through data analysis, problem-solving, and the execution of changes. This includes leading technical improvement projects in areas such as Planning, Warehousing, Procurement, and Shipping. The role also involves serving as a technical expert for various site projects, ensuring the efficient operation of supply chain processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Data analysis, problem solving and execution of changes in Planning, Warehousing, Procurement, & Shipping
  • Execute transformation program strategies and projects in collaboration with Supply Chain management
  • Define key activities or improvement projects and propose the associated deadlines
  • Secure decision making throughout the program to assure deadlines are met
  • Propose risk mitigation actions and communicate at different levels of the organization
  • Monitoring of the necessary resources needed for execution
  • Leads continuous improvement projects, drive SPS to closure and identify any anomalies that have arisen
  • Provide engineering design support for Supply Chain facility/equipment changes & additions
  • Serve as the technical expert in Warehouse automation
  • Overseas operational training needs and performs training to ensure standards are met
  • Responsible for investigation & solution of quality problems in department such as: unscheduled events, deviations, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain required
  • Minimum 10 years of manufacturing, supply chain or logistics experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment
  • Proven experience using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies & achieving sustainable process improvements
  • Demonstrated experience in practical problem solving & process improvement methods
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in SAP or equivalent
  • Strong communication skills across multiple organizational levels

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management experience
  • Experience with robotics and automation
  • Knowledge of US, EU regulations & guidelines, & application of GMP's
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly in writing & presentations
  • Experience planning, organizing, managing execution, checking results, & revising work plans
