About the position

The Supply Chain Engineering Manager at PepsiCo is responsible for leading a team focused on process equipment optimization and development. This role involves providing technical solutions for various projects related to capacity, innovation, productivity, and maintenance, while also managing cost imperatives and strategic initiatives. The manager will serve as a technical liaison across multiple departments and will be instrumental in developing the Foods process equipment scope and technology to support various projects across the Quaker business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead process equipment optimization and development team.
  • Serve as a technical liaison to supply chain operations, R&D, and procurement.
  • Develop and transform the team into a Center of Excellence for process equipment.
  • Define Foods process equipment scope and technology for productivity and innovation projects.
  • Identify new equipment vendors and develop specifications for process equipment.
  • Conduct process validation activities including modeling and testing with suppliers.
  • Execute pilot scope for commercialization and develop operational metrics.
  • Lead equipment start-up and validate process equipment during inspections and tests.
  • Drive equipment and process standardization across manufacturing plants.
  • Perform economic evaluations on new processes and estimate business value.
  • Support corporate standards and leverage industry best practices.
  • Train and mentor less-experienced engineers and develop training materials.
  • Participate in recruiting key technical staff and provide input for strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 6 years of technical engineering experience, preferably with process equipment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and mentor other engineers.
  • Experience in managing multiple technical initiatives across plant locations.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of food processing equipment in RTE cereal, IQO, IQG, Pasta, and Rice cake manufacturing.
