About the position
The Supply Chain Equipment Coordinator at Heart Hospital of Austin is responsible for overseeing all supply chain activities within the facility. This includes managing the receiving, distribution, replenishment, and inventory of supplies, ensuring effective communication with team members, and maintaining safety stock levels. The role requires strong problem-solving skills and comprehensive knowledge of supply chain processes, as well as adherence to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement supply chain activities within the facility.
- Oversee receiving, distributing, replenishment, and inventory management of supplies.
- Review and maintain Min/Max levels for storeroom safety stock and other stocking locations.
- Supervise on-site processing, inventory, and delivery of all orders.
- Maintain effective communication with customers, co-team leaders, stock clerks, and management.
- Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and comprehensive job knowledge.
- Prepare schedules for on-site operations.
- Attend in-service presentations and complete mandatory education, including infection control and patient safety.
- Utilize the occurrence reporting system to report potential patient safety issues.
- Process lost charge reports and resolve discrepancies.
- Transport and deliver legend drugs, non-prescription drugs, contrast media, and drug-containing devices.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Management, Healthcare Administration, or similar field preferred.
- One year of material management experience required.
