About the position

PepsiCo is seeking a Supply Chain Finance Assistant Analyst to join its fast-track training program designed for key finance and accounting positions within the Supply Chain organization. This entry-level role is part of a broader program that encompasses various operations and technical disciplines. The Supply Chain Finance Assistant Analyst will report directly to the Plant Controller and is expected to last approximately 18-24 months. Successful participants in this program will gain the skills and experiences necessary to excel in multiple cross-functional finance roles within the PepsiCo network, which includes both corporate and field operations. In this role, the Supply Chain Finance Assistant Analyst will engage in a variety of accounting processes and financial analyses. Responsibilities will include tasks related to the accounting period close, forecasting methods, cost and variance analysis, and the development of the Annual Operating Plan. Additionally, the analyst will be responsible for the timely completion of assigned project work, which includes process improvement initiatives and ad hoc analyses. The role will also involve management reporting of financial results, including the calculation and communication of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), innovation costing, and capital investment analytics using discounted cash flow (DCF) models. The analyst will work closely with the Supply Chain operations teams to ensure alignment and support. Moreover, the Supply Chain Finance Assistant Analyst will have the opportunity to participate in the broader Supply Chain Finance program, which includes exposure to other Supply Chain functions through defined cross-functional project work and participation on operations improvement teams. This role will also allow the analyst to build relationships with other Supply Chain Finance Assistant Analysts in the program and provide feedback on their experiences, contributing to campus recruiting efforts. Roles may be available in various locations, including Cedar Rapids, IA; Columbia, MO; Bridgeview, IL; Wytheville, VA; Dallas, TX; Atlanta, GA; and Kissimmee, FL. PepsiCo offers a competitive compensation package, with the expected salary range for this position being $64,600 to $87,000, depending on role, degree discipline, degree level, and location. Paid time off is also available, subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick leave, and bereavement leave.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the Supply Chain Finance program, gaining training and experience in accounting processes and financial analyses.
  • Complete accounting period close related tasks and assist in forecasting methods.
  • Conduct cost and variance analysis and contribute to the development of the Annual Operating Plan.
  • Timely completion of assigned project work, including process improvement and ad hoc analysis.

  • Collaborate with Supply Chain operations teams as a key partner.

  • Build relationships with other Supply Chain Finance Assistant Analysts in the program and provide feedback on experiences.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Finance and/or Accounting (other related majors will be considered).
  • Demonstrated interest in cost accounting and operations through coursework or internships.
  • Strong people and communication skills to manage information gathering requests.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner while managing competing priorities.
  • Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft products.
  • Interest in career growth within PepsiCo after 18-24 months in the program.
  • Completion of final year of undergraduate studies and holding a Bachelor's degree prior to the intended full-time start date.
  • Indefinite right to work in the United States.
