Job Title: Supply Chain Lead Reporting To: Director, Business Unit Work Schedule: Hybrid - Buffalo, NY Moog Military Aircraft Group is the worldwide leader in advanced flight controls and actuation for commercial and military aircraft. Supply Chain Program Manager - Aircraft Propulsion Systems The Aircraft Propulsion Systems business has an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment supporting the emerging advanced air mobility market space. This person will be immersed in the success of a critical program that will enhance the Moog portfolio along with significant future business potential. In the Military Aircraft Group's Aircraft Propulsion Systems business programs move rapidly from inception to fielding. Typical programs may last a year; thus, opportunities exist to continuously work on new projects with different levels of engagement, the potential to learn in new areas, and to collaborate with some of Moog's best employees. In this position you'll be expected to: Manage all supply chain aspects of a program from contract award to end item delivery. Operate in an agile and ambiguous development environment with minimal support. Be the single point for all commodities with suppliers to solicit quotes, negotiate requirements, purchase order placement, and purchase order tracking. Immediately identify risks to procurement with a proactive plan for mitigation of risk Develop an initial supply chain procurement strategy to handle development versus flight parts procurement to manage correct requirements and configuration. Communicate program status to relevant stakeholders. Effectively develop and explain strategy and business case for sourcing decisions. Plan for production. Here is an idea of what you'll be accountable for: Coordination with program management and team on supply chain design and strategy for the development, LRIP, and production phases Ensure proper planning for material requirements through all phases of production. Program/project management of supply chain projects using best practice project management tools and processes to manage quality, technical, schedule, and cost requirements. This includes monitoring and management of supply chain risks associated with the assigned program/project. Ensures assigned programs/project is compliant with Moog policies, processes, and contractual requirements (e.g. FAR/DFAR and offset requirements). Program management of supplier New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, ensuring close collaboration and integration across the Aircraft organization, Business Sector Program teams, and other business functions to achieve the program production objectives. Analyzes, monitors, and reports on supply chain financial performance for the assigned program/project. This includes but is not limited to cost to plan activity in support of program financial reporting requirements. Basic Qualifications: At least 5 years of supply chain or program/project management experience in a relevant industry. Bachelor of Science degree in related field, or equivalent relevant work experience. Demonstrated business acumen, with the ability to engage and influence the right organizational resources to resolve customer problems quickly and effectively. Proven capabilities in managing and working collaboratively within a multicultural geographically dispersed environment. Strong communication skills are required in the form of written, verbal, and formal presentation. Knowledge and experience of working with contractual requirements including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR), REACH, AEO, Technical Assistance Agreements, Manufacturing License Agreements, and Import/Export regulation requirements, including but not limited to UK military regulations, EAR, and ITAR. This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information. Preferred Qualifications: Must have the ability to navigate Moog's MRP system. (Knowledge of Development Environment, Planning Process, Rapid Response) Ability to work independently with a business-focused decision-making mentality. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
