About the position

The Supply Chain Logistics Analyst at IMCD is responsible for managing third-party carriers and assisting various internal departments in resolving transportation-related issues. This role involves ensuring compliance with responsible distribution practices, addressing service issues, and seeking cost reduction and efficiency improvements. The analyst will also collaborate with team members to explore process enhancements while upholding the company's core values.

Responsibilities

• Manage all third-party carriers and assist internal departments with transportation inquiries.
• Review daily reports for changes affecting product classification.
• Arrange LTL shipments and expedite BOL for customer service as needed.
• Tender future TL shipments to preapproved carriers based on rates and performance.
• Coordinate with supply chain and customer service regarding shipment status changes.
• Process freight claims as necessary.
• Manage annual carrier questionnaires for 'Approved Carrier' requirements.
• Review updated SDS sheets and make necessary adjustments in the system.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain Analysts to arrange truckload freight and understand product attributes.
• Maintain truckload schedule to track orders with carriers.
• Record all carrier issues and send quarterly scorecards for all carriers.
• Work with carriers to develop efficiencies and resolve service issues.
• Execute Import/Export orders and ensure accuracy of Freight Playbooks and Manuals.
• Meet weekly with Assistant Supply Chain Manager to provide updates on carriers and trends.
• Participate in ongoing education and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and complete projects to improve processes as part of 90-day action items.
• Assist team members to achieve department goals.

Requirements

• Associate degree in business or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to conduct root cause analysis to address problems.
