About the position

The Supply Chain Logistics Lead at Brown University Health is responsible for coordinating the activities and functions of the Supply Chain Procedural Distribution and Central Supply Technicians. This role involves training and evaluating staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. The position plays a key role in process improvements and budget management within the Supply Chain area.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities and functions of Supply Chain Procedural Distribution and Central Supply Technicians.
  • Orient, train, assign work, maintain schedules, and evaluate performance of staff.
  • Manage inventory of supplies, monitor usage trends, and assist with recalls and backorders.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Procurement and suppliers for delivery coordination.
  • Coordinate priority and special-order requests for supplies and equipment.
  • Run and work on various daily and periodic reports.
  • Prepare and maintain records, files, and requisitions.
  • Assist employees with prioritization and problem resolution.
  • Initiate structured par level and inventory management activities.
  • Participate in recruitment, retention, and performance assessment of staff.
  • Ensure compliance with established standards and policies.
  • Provide actionable feedback to promote teamwork and satisfaction.
  • Document and address employee concerns related to performance and attendance.
  • Regularly perform duties of employees to assist with workloads.
  • Responsible for technical policy and procedure training for assigned areas.
  • Participate in yearly audit and inventory.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in related healthcare or warehouse field.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic techniques, and inventory management.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and ability to learn necessary supporting information systems.
