The Supply Chain & Logistics Manager will plan, direct, and monitor all inventory control, storage, shipping, and receiving activities to ensure that the organization has access to the inputs, materials, goods, and services it needs for its current and future operations. This role is responsible for collaborating with retailers on replenishment and supply chain performance management. The manager will oversee all aspects of large-scale and complex operations-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. The main responsibilities include purchasing, inventory management, freight and logistics, and warehouse efficiency. The manager will be responsible for managing metrics to ensure accurate inventory and prevent supply interruptions. They will effectively balance inventory levels, minimizing excess inventory costs while ensuring product availability and minimizing backorders. Coordination between functional site groups and division counterparts is essential to ensure that the supply of produced units meets demand on time and in full. The manager will achieve site volume and inventory targets, interpret inventory requests, orders, and other documents to coordinate materials handling activities with the organization's current and anticipated demand for goods and materials. Additionally, the manager will coordinate purchasing, receiving, and shipping support to all site departments, liaising with external stakeholders including third-party suppliers and division departments such as procurement. They will oversee inventory control systems that track the status of purchase orders, inventory levels, and production requirements. Continual review of current third-party logistics (3PL) providers and potential future providers is necessary to develop and maintain strong and effective partnerships. The manager will initiate projects to improve supply chain processes, enhance supply chain efficiency, and reduce supply chain costs. They will design, communicate, and implement operational plans for completing projects, monitor progress and performance against the project plan, and resolve operational problems to minimize delays. Conducting project meetings and preparing reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team is also a key responsibility. Compliance with all applicable business policies, laws, and regulations, including U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, and processes is essential.
