As a highly motivated Category Manager, you will manage a team of Global Supply Chain professionals across multiple programs. You will provide differentiating value by working with Business Areas, Business Units, or Enterprise-wide, cross-functional teams to analyze supply base risks and opportunities. Your role will involve identifying new sources of supply to meet business requirements, negotiating and managing contracts and relationships with suppliers to drive innovative strategies that enhance performance. You will implement policies and metrics to ensure that savings goals are realized and performance requirements are achieved. Additionally, you will act as the main focal point for all matters pertaining to the given category and be responsible for the quality and performance of supplier products, coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection & training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Global Supply Chain professionals across multiple programs.
  • Analyze supply base risks and opportunities with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify new sources of supply to meet business requirements.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts and relationships with suppliers.
  • Drive innovative strategies that enhance supplier performance.
  • Implement policies and metrics to ensure savings goals are realized.
  • Act as the main focal point for all matters pertaining to the given category.
  • Coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection & training.
  • Conduct performance assessments and manage work assignments.

Requirements

  • Experience with supply chain management.
  • Experience collaborating effectively across multiple functional areas.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Experience leading teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience analyzing problems and recommending solutions.
  • Experience utilizing continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience making data-based business decisions.
