About the position

As a Management Development Associate in Supply Chain at Nestlé Purina, you will embark on a unique personal and professional development journey that extends beyond traditional classroom learning. This program has been shaping future leaders for over 30 years, and as part of it, you will receive coaching from the outset to solidify your career trajectory. Your role will involve gaining comprehensive exposure to various facets of the supply chain, including information systems, quality assurance, engineering, human resources, production, research and development engineering, and operations performance. This multifaceted experience will enable you to understand how these areas collaborate effectively within the supply chain framework. In this full-time position, you will be on a fast track to management within the manufacturing side of the business. You will have the opportunity to relocate to different factory sites across the country, allowing you to learn end-to-end processes and define your purpose while exploring your passions. Your responsibilities will include completing training in warehouse, transportation, and customer service functions, as well as undertaking assigned department improvement projects. You will develop a deep understanding of the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) and pet care industries, gaining insights into consumer behavior, Purina brands, their competition, and segment trends. Additionally, you will experience both internal and external supply chain operations, which encompass plant logistics, warehousing, transportation, customer supply chain management, and order revenue management. Building and championing internal and external working relationships will be crucial, as this will provide you with exposure to various disciplines, account management, and customer teams. Throughout this journey, you will expand your leadership skills and gain valuable experience that will prepare you for a successful career in supply chain management.

Responsibilities

  • Embark on a personal and professional development experience as a Management Development Associate.
  • Gain exposure to various areas including information systems, quality assurance, supply chain, engineering, human resources, production, and operations performance.
  • Deliver premier supply chain analysis and support to the plant.
  • Complete training in warehouse, transportation, and customer service functions.
  • Undertake assigned department improvement projects.
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) and pet care industries.
  • Experience internal and external supply chain operations including plant logistics, warehousing, and transportation.
  • Champion internal and external working relationships with various disciplines and customer teams.
  • Expand leadership skills and experience.

Requirements

  • Must be open to relocation to one or more of our 24 production facilities across the U.S.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline attained or expected by June 2025.
  • Prior co-practicum, or internship experience; manufacturing experience; student organization or other leadership experience.
