About the position
The Supply Chain Management Internship at thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Inc. offers a hands-on experience in Supply & Demand business planning. Interns will collaborate with Corporate Buyers and Managers in the Procurement team, engaging in daily reporting, analysis, and data entry. This role aims to optimize working capital in a customer-focused environment while preparing for a new purchasing system. The internship is designed to foster a vibrant and collaborative learning atmosphere, emphasizing diversity and inclusion.
Responsibilities
- Enter and update data in the SAP system.
- Provide quick responses to internal communications to support the Procurement team.
- Engage in communication with suppliers to update the status of open purchase orders.
- Reconcile open invoices with suppliers against goods receipt records.
- Contribute to standard and ad hoc reporting initiatives.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Math, or a closely related field.
- Proficient in MS Excel with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.
- Preferred experience with SAP, but a willingness to learn is highly valued.
- A passion for task follow-up and a commitment to excellence.
